On every year May 5,it was Dragon Boat Festival. On this day,people usually make rice dumpling and play games on this day.It is one of the most important Chinese festivals, the other two being the Autumn Moon Festival and Chinese New year.

This day is used to commemorate the ancient poet Quyuan, he do many good things to the country and human,but Due to the exclusion of the nobility, they were exiled to the Hanbei and Xiaoxiang River Basins.In 278 B.C., the Qin Army conquered the capital of Chu. Qu Yuan saw his own country being invaded. His heart was like a knife, but he could not bear to abandon his country. On May 5th, after writing the perfect book “Huai Sha”, jump with a stone into MiLuo River and died. People People try to save him when Qu Yuan jumped to the river, but he never found the body. Therefore, people packed rice in leaves and threw them into the river to prevent the fish eating his body.

Until now,people on this day continued to hold the Dragon Boat Race and make rice dumpling to commemorate him.Then the Dragon Boat Festival became one of the national legal holidays and is listed in the World Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
